Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead the Sainsbury's contract across Middlesbrough, Durham and Newcastle areas. You will oversee security operations, drive incident investigation and training, and ensure delivery of KPIs and SLAs while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires managing officer teams, coordinating recruitment, and sustaining high standards of health and safety, with the Weekend duty manager rota as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote the Mitie brand by delivering an industry-leading security service across assigned locations.
• Maximise contract efficiency by integrating people, systems and technology to deliver intelligence-led services.
• Manage a portfolio of sites, ensuring hours are covered by trained officers to meet client expectations.
• Support training and coaching for security personnel and develop officer capabilities.
• Lead recruitment to meet coverage KPIs and ensure service continuity.
• Fulfil duty manager responsibilities during weekend rota and build strong relationships with store management.
