Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to cover the Mole & Wey Area across multiple Wastewater Treatment sites. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, and repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment with minimal supervision.

The role requires an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent, a driving licence, and the ability to work across several treatment sites. Competitive salary and overtime opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems.
• Willingness to operate in a true multi-skilled capacity.
• Health and safety awareness essential.
• Full driving licence required; vehicle and tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Support site teams with planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training/support for technical trainees.
• Liaise with stakeholders across wastewater treatment projects.
