Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join the Camberley team. You will inspect, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with electrical experience and upskilling to dual-skilled status as needed. A valid driving licence is essential to access pumps and equipment across sites.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems in a multi-skilled capacity.
• Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair equipment safely.
• Willingness to develop to dual-skilled status if needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in line with procedures to minimise breakdowns.
• Investigate plant faults and carry out repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training/support for technical trainees when required.
• Work on pumps, control gear, 3-phase motors, starters and controls, VSDs, valves, dosing equipment.
• Participate in standby rota following training.
