Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join the Home Counties Treatment team. This regional role involves travel across multiple Waste Treatment sites in the Mole & Wey Area, inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing, installing, modifying or repairing mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment.

You will work to keep sites operational, support planned maintenance, provide technical guidance, and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing, installing and repairing mechanical and electrical plant.
• Must have completed electrical apprenticeship and hold ONC/HNC or C&G Level 3.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across Mole & Wey Area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical advice and training support for trainees.
• Liaise with site teams, coordinators and contractors across wastewater treatment.
• Travel across treatment sites within the Mole & Wey Area.
