Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Technician to support Waste Water operations in the Thames Valley North region, including Aylesbury. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify and repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment to keep sites operational.

With 38-hour weeks and potential overtime, the role offers a competitive salary up to £45,000, plus standby payments and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical and electrical knowledge with maintenance experience.
• Apprenticeship or formal electrical training with recognised qualifications.
• Able to diagnose and repair plant and electrical equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate and repair plant failures to prevent process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and support for trainees when required.
• Operate and test pumps, control gear, VSDs, PLCs and related systems.
