Job summary

SBFM is seeking an experienced Area Supervisor to join our team. You will deliver and support field-based elements of our service, travelling between Reading and Oxford to supervise sites.

You will manage frontline operatives, maintain KPIs, uphold health and safety, and build strong client relationships while ensuring smooth operations across multiple sites.

The role involves coordinating inductions, training, audits, and reporting using our IT systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a similar supervisory role.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to complete within 3 months.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT literate and able to use IT systems.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel UK sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Relationship management - build and maintain strong client relationships at local level.
• Conduct regular audits and resolve issues to ensure cleaning standards and specifications are met.
• Line management, inductions and training of frontline operatives.
• Support mobilisation of new contracts through site visits, inductions, and training.
• Oversee health & safety compliance across all sites and ensure staff follow policies.
• Conduct stock checks and follow processes for ordering materials and equipment.
• Cover cleaning and use existing workforce to complete site cleaning when needed.
• Support or cover other Area Supervisors' areas when required.
• Ensure correct use of IT systems and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers and Account Managers for smooth operations.
• Respond to ad hoc requests or escalations from management.
• Identify and elevate concerns, risks, or improvements to senior management.
