Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across Wokingham, Reading, and Bracknell, with travel within the region. This home-based role requires coordinating training calendars and supporting staff to achieve high standards of person-centred care.

The role involves liaising with Home Managers to implement individual development plans, ensuring staff are confident and competent, and contributing to our expanding portfolio of care homes

Qualifications

• Must-have: C&G 7300 or equivalent
• Must-have: Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience in social care
• Knowledge of legislative requirements in care sector
• 2 years training experience
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects
• Plan and publish training calendars
• Ensure employee training files are up to date
• Arrange induction paperwork and assign a buddy for new staff
• Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate
• Attend external meetings and conferences as required
• Promote learning and development opportunities offered by Barchester
• Collaborate with Home Managers to implement personal development plans
