Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across a regional portfolio of care homes and hospitals. This home-based role involves travel around a specified region to ensure staff are confident, competent and aligned with the Barchester ethos.

You will plan training calendars, maintain training files, observe practice, and support staff development by working with Home Managers on personal development plans.

Qualifications

C&G 7300 or equivalent qualification is required.
Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience in social care.
2 years of training experience and current UK driving licence.
Knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver induction and development training aligned with Barchester objectives.
Provide practical, hands-on training across diverse subjects.
Plan and publish training calendars and maintain employee training files.
Observe workplace practice and coach new team members.
Attend external meetings when required and promote learning opportunities.
Collaborate with Home Managers to implement personal development plans.
