Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration is essential.
  • Good technical understanding of refrigeration systems.

  • Valid certifications where required (e.g. F-Gas).
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration systems.

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist refrigeration company, independent and highly regarded in the industrial and commercial refrigeration sector. They design, install, service and maintain refrigeration systems using a variety of refrigerants, across many applications including chilled and cold storage, process water chilling, blast chilling/freezing, carcass chilling, cellar cooling and more.

What you will do
  • Install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration plant across multiple sites
  • Work on systems involving chillers, cold rooms, blast chillers/freezers, carcass chilling, etc.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, carry out preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and complying with regulations
  • Work with various refrigerants
  • Provide documentation, record keeping, work within safety standards, attend call-outs and breakdowns
  • Participate in a standby rota once familiar with the sites
What you\'ll need
  • Experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration is essential
  • Good technical understanding of refrigeration systems, components, and refrigerants
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, often on-site, managing your time and priorities
  • Valid certifications where required (e.g. F-Gas, safe handling of refrigerants)
  • Full UK driving licence
Package & benefits
  • Pay: Up to £41,500 (Maybe flexible for right candidate)
  • 40-hour week, door-to-door working
  • Overtime available (time & a half, double time as applicable)
  • 25 days holiday per year + 8 bank holidays
  • Sick pay: 6 weeks full pay + 6 weeks half pay
  • Pension: company pension after 3 months, with 4% employer contribution
  • Private health care
  • Death in service insurance
  • Company van (currently Ford Transit Custom) - personal use permitted; mileage charged
  • Standby rota: once familiar, 1 in 5 standby, with a retainer of £210
