Job description

Archer Resourcing has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Recovery Worker to join the dedicated team in Peterborough.

As a Recovery Worker, you will contribute to making a real difference in the lives of individuals facing issues with Substance Misuse. You will provide emotional and practical support, ensuring individuals receive the personalized care and advice they need.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Completing risk assessments and risk management plans in line with policies and procedures.
2. Monitoring, reviewing, and updating individuals’ recovery plans as required.
3. Participating in team meetings and reviews.
4. Keeping case notes up-to-date and accurate.
5. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible service.
6. Conducting screenings for drug and alcohol use.
7. Updating and maintaining service user records with confidentiality.
8. Collaborating with other health and social care providers when necessary.
9. Handling sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in substance misuse and understanding of its effects.
• Good understanding of issues related to substance misuse.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of confidentiality protocols.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Experience in building effective relationships with colleagues and service users.
• Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months. If on the update service, you may be fast-tracked through our recruitment process.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if not already held.
