Job summary

Change Grow Live in Hull is seeking a Recovery Coordinator on a sessional basis to support service users through their treatment and recovery journey. The role is flexible with as-needed hours and focuses on reducing harm from substance use, advocacy, and social reintegration.

The post requires strong communication, group facilitation experience, and the ability to work in partnership with multiple professionals. DBS check is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and related field experience.
• Experience leading groups/pods and managing dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; solid IT skills.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritising.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service users.
• Understanding information governance and safeguarding considerations.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through their recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and promote recovery and self-determination.
• Design and deliver subject matter and materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery.
• Engage in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators and review progress.
• Tailor workshops to service users’ needs (e.g., anger management, sleep issues, relationships).
