Job summary

Change Grow Live in Swindon is seeking a part-time Recovery Champion to support open access areas and connect with people affected by drugs and alcohol. The role involves building community links, accompanying service users, and signposting to recovery opportunities.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, applying lived experience and strong communication to empower individuals toward their recovery goals and to support their families.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT proficiency.
• Ability to build relationships with clients with multiple needs.
• Reliable when working alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming environment in open access area.
• Engage with local communities to reach those affected by drugs and alcohol.
• Attend team meetings and supervise to share best practices.
• Meet individuals to discuss recovery goals and support families.
• Signpost to local resources and recovery opportunities.
• Assist coordinator in setting up specialist advice / recovery opportunities.
