Job summary

Vets Now Coventry is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients, answer calls and process appointments and payments in our busy out-of-hours clinic.

You will be the first point of contact during emergencies, provide friendly, reassuring support, and coordinate with veterinary staff to keep patients moving smoothly. The role involves weekend hours and a focus on compassionate client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontline client-facing work.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organised in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinic administration and update staff on enroute patients.

Role Overview

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Every other weekend working Saturday 12:00 to 20:00 and Sunday from 08:00 to 20:00

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
