Job summary

Vets Now is seeking a Friday Veterinary Receptionist in Doncaster to greet clients, answer calls, and process appointments and payments during emergency situations.

You will support clinic administration and liaise between clients and veterinarians, providing reassurance and information when needed, especially in urgent cases.

Qualifications

• Front desk/ reception experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients in emergency or routine visits.
• Manage clinic administration and financial transactions.
• Provide updates to veterinary staff about patients and required assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Every Friday from 19:00 to 23:00
