Job summary

Cygnet Newton House in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join the team. You will work full time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 17:00pm, delivering a professional, welcoming reception experience.

Located one mile from Blackpool centre, the service supports inpatient and community rehabilitation; you will be the first point of contact, handling calls, visitors, and post, while upholding confidentiality and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience as receptionist/administrator liaising with customers/clients.
• Organised, helpful and able to multitask.
• Computer literate including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems.
• Polite, friendly with excellent communication skills.
• GCSE Maths and English with good numeracy and literacy.
• Diligent, accurate with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors and notify staff of arrival.
• Sign in/out visitors and monitor patient departures/returns.
• Answer and transfer calls; take messages as needed.
• Sort and distribute post; assist with general office duties.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy.
• Uphold safety, security and confidentiality protocols.

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team at Cygnet Newton House. You will be working full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm.

Cygnet Newton House offers both a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service and community rehabilitation (level 1) service for men. The service is dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery.

From admission, the team work with the men we support to maximise positive outcomes and recovery, while focusing on discharge plans to support them to move on to the least restrictive environment for them. Our dedicated clinical team provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.

Located 1 mile from Blackpool centre, Cygnet Newton House benefits from being close to plenty of amenities. There are good public transport links in the area with regular buses to the beach and other popular locations - the bus stop is just outside the service.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Salary: £28,050 per annum
• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience
• Greet visitors & notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival
• Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately
• Answer & transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate
• Sort & distribute post, and assist with general office duties as required
• Keep the reception area clean & tidy
• Promote the safety & security of all site users and ensure all staff comply with security protocols.

You are...

• An experienced receptionist/administrator used to liaising with customers/clients
• Organised, naturally helpful and a good multi-tasker
• Computer literate - including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or equivalent
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems
• Polite, friendly & approachable with excellent communication skills
• GCSE Maths and English qualified, with a good level of numeracy and literacy
• Diligent & accurate, with an eye for detail and an understanding of confidentiality.
