Job summary

Cygnet Kenney House in Oldham is seeking a confident Receptionist to deliver exceptional service at a busy healthcare site. You will welcome visitors, manage sign-in/out, answer calls and support general office duties on a 42-hour rota that includes early and late shifts and some weekend work.

You should be organised, with strong communication skills, proficient in Windows/Office, and comfortable handling confidential information. A DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced receptionist/administrator comfortable liaising with customers.
• Organised, helpful and good multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems.
• Polite, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
• GCSE Maths and English with good numeracy and literacy.
• Confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors and notify staff on arrival.
• Manage sign-in/out and record patient movements.
• Answer and transfer calls; take messages as needed.
• Sort post and assist with general office duties.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy.
• Promote safety and security and ensure staff follow protocols.

We are looking for a confident Receptionist with a passion for delivering outstanding Service

You'll be working 42 hours a week (Covering shift patterns 6am - 2pm and 1pm - 9pm on a rota basis this may include weekend working) making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Kenney House

Cygnet Kenney House is our hospital for women, located in Oldham. The services provide a safe and secure care pathway for women with mental health need and are now open.

We have collaborated with the NHS to develop services to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There are three wards at Cygnet Kenney House; Billington Ward, a 12 bed specialist Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Baldock Ward, a 16 bed Acute service and Harben Ward, a 16 bed mental health rehabilitation and recovery service.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience
• Greet visitors & notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival
• Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately
• Answer & transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate
• Sort & distribute post, and assist with general office duties as required
• Keep the reception area clean & tidy
• Promote the safety & security of all site users and ensure all staff comply with security protocols.

You are...

• An experienced receptionist/administrator used to liaising with customers/clients
• Organised, naturally helpful and a good multi-tasker
• Computer literate - including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or equivalent
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems
• Polite, friendly & approachable with excellent communication skills
• GCSE Maths and English qualified, with a good level of numeracy and literacy
• Diligent & accurate, with an eye for detail and an understanding of confidentiality.
