Job summary

Flourish Education seeks a confident Reception Teacher for a part-time job-share role in Kidderminster. The position runs Monday to Wednesday with planning provided, focusing on delivering high-quality EYFS teaching and supporting pupils’ development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons for Reception pupils.

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and inform teaching decisions.

Are you a dedicated and experienced Early Years Teacher looking for a part-time job share opportunity?

A welcoming Primary School in Kidderminster is seeking a confident and experienced Reception Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This is a part-time job share position working Monday to Wednesday, with no planning responsibilities.

This role is ideal for an experienced Early Years Teacher who has previous experience teaching Reception and is confident delivering engaging and purposeful learning within the Early Years classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing teaching team to provide a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for pupils.

As a Reception Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the three days, supporting children's academic, social, emotional, and personal development. Planning will be provided, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and building positive relationships with the children.

As a Reception Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities for Reception pupils.
  • Following existing planning and adapting learning activities where appropriate to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive Early Years learning environment.
  • Supporting children's communication, language, physical, personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Providing a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning opportunities.
  • Assessing and monitoring children's progress and using this to inform teaching.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and supporting their confidence and independence.
  • Working closely with the existing job-share teacher to ensure consistency across the week.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
  • Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Supporting children to develop the skills and confidence needed for their next stage of education.
To be successful in this Reception Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within Early Years, ideally Reception.
  • Strong experience working within a Primary School setting.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Experience planning and delivering engaging learning opportunities for young children.
  • The ability to adapt teaching and learning to meet individual pupil needs.
  • A patient, caring, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and staff.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a job-share and wider school team.
  • A proactive and professional approach to supporting children's learning and development.
