Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant for a Malvern primary school from September on a long-term, part-time basis. The role supports a Reception class, assisting with learning activities, personal development and classroom routines.

You will work four days a week, with experience as a TA in early years preferred. The school offers a welcoming environment, ongoing training and safeguarding support from Flourish Education.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in school, nursery or childcare.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Good understanding of Early Years or Reception-aged children.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner looking for a new role? A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Malvern is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a long-term basis. This is a part-time position, working 4days per week, and would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their experience within an Early Years setting. This role is ideal for a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young children during the important early stages of their education. Working within a Reception class, you will help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, supporting pupils both academically and socially as they develop key skills and confidence. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, and who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

As a Reception Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

To be successful in this Reception Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
  • Previous experience working with children within a school, nursery, or childcare setting.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A good understanding of Early Years or Reception-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to use initiative.
