This is a part-time teaching role working Wednesday-Friday, with no planning responsibilities required.

As an Early Years Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing positive and trusting relationships with children and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.

  • Supporting children's academic, social, emotional and personal development.

  • Providing opportunities for both adult-led and child-initiated learning.

  • Monitoring, assessing and recording children's progress and adapting teaching accordingly.

  • Working collaboratively with Early Years staff, class teachers and school leaders.

  • Managing behaviour effectively using appropriate Early Years strategies.

  • Promoting independence, confidence and engagement in learning.

  • Maintaining high expectations while recognising and responding to individual children's needs and barriers to learning.

To be successful in this Early Years Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Previous experience teaching within an Early Years setting is essential.

  • Experience working within a Nursery and/or Reception classroom.

  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • The ability to deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and consistent.

  • Confidence working alongside Teaching Assistants and other Early Years staff.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A nurturing, patient and resilient approach to teaching.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with young children.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

  • A DBS on the update service, or issued within the last 12 months.

  • A minimum of two excellent references.

Working as an Early Years Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
