MPA Recruitment is recruiting for an E.D. Tracker at Belfast University Hospital. The role supports the Emergency Department Multidisciplinary Team to ensure patients are seen and treated within PFA targets.

The post holder will provide timely information on patient progress and maintain real-time updates across ICT systems. The position requires admin qualifications or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in an administrative related field and 1 year’s clerical experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Administration with 2 years’ experience.
• 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including Maths and English (or English Language) with 3 years’ experience.
• 4 years’ clerical/administrative experience at Band 3.
• 2 years’ MS Office experience (Word and Excel).
• Hold a full UK driving licence with access to a car (waived if disability applies).
• Effective communication and ability to lead a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Take an active role in supporting the Emergency Department Team to deliver high quality, timely, safe care.
• Assist in ensuring patient attendances meet the PFA target by mapping and scrutinising the patient journey in real time.
• Communicate with Nurse in Charge/Consultant in Charge and keep ICT systems updated.
• Communicate with ED team and other professionals inside/outside the Trust.
• Enter data in real time across electronic and paper systems and notify clinical staff as needed.
• Oversee ED activity (triage, minors, majors, resuscitation) and report pressures/delays to Lead Nurse.
• Liaise with stakeholders (clinical teams, bed management) regarding waiting times.
• Identify discharge delays and inform clinical staff.
• Ensure confidentiality protocols are followed at all times.
