Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Patient Access Coordinator to join the Emergency Department Admin team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, registering attendees by foot or ambulance and guiding them with an appropriate plan.

You will monitor breach data for 4- and 12-hour targets and support clinical colleagues with regular SITREP updates. In this role you will manage incoming calls, provide admin support to the ED and liaise with the Flow

Responsibilities

• Reception duties: first point of contact for patients
• Register patients into the department both on foot and by ambulance
• Complete breach data for 4- and 12-hour targets
• Monitor Decision to Admit for senior reviewed patients (DTAs)
• Handle phone calls from internal departments and external stakeholders
• Provide SITREP updates to the Clinical Site Team
• Provide administration support and advice to clinical colleagues in the Emergency Department
