Job summary

Qualifications

• Desirable: previous care experience and/or Emergency Department exposure.

Responsibilities

• Work as an Emergency Department Assistant in a high-pressured, fast-moving environment.
• Prioritise and deliver patient care.
• Demonstrate high standards of care and promote best practices in patient care in the ED.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy and dignity at all times.
• Assist in age-related play and distraction therapy.
• Support registered nurses in the ED.
• Cover duties as directed by Department Managers and Matron, including surge coverage.
