Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for our client, a major parcel distribution company, in Oldbury. You will trunk between depots, handle routine route paperwork and perform pre- and post-trip checks.

Shifts are varied with a competitive hourly rate from £17.29 to £38.57. Immediate starts and weekly pay are offered, with overtime opportunities and full site induction.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence with 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and valid Digi-tacho card required.
• No DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements; up to 6 points allowed.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle.
• Trunking (depot to depot).
• Standard route paperwork.
• Pre- & post-route vehicle checks.

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle
• Trunking (depot to depot)
• Standard route paperwork
• Pre & post route vehicle checks

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
