Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work with our client in Crewe. Rolls include trunking between depots and distribution centres, with ongoing work into 2027. Immediate starts and regular weekly pay are available.

We welcome drivers with a valid UK Class 1 licence, DCPC and digital tachograph card, and a professional attitude focused on safety and customer service. 5 days per week with some weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 driving licence (C+E).
• 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid DCPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Professional attitude with safety and customer service commitment.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time and professionally.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and transport regulations.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately.

Pay Rate: £977.81 to £1344.06 p/w

Additional Earning: £250 sign on bonus

Shifts: 5 days per week, shifts will include 1 day at the weekend - ongoing work in to 2027

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
