Ignition Driver Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work with our client in Grays, Thurrock. Join a well-established operation with consistent work, modern vehicles and immediate starts available.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries and tail lift operations with cages of up to 320kg, while maintaining high safety and professionalism. We offer competitive hourly rates and weekly pay, with overtime opportunities and flexible shift patterns to suit your

Qualifications

• 6 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC).
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• Applicants with DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements cannot be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop Deliveries (3-4 deliveries per day).
• Tail Lift work delivering cages of 320+ kg on ambient, chill and frozen.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations.
• Complete relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately.

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Multi-drop Deliveries (3-4 deliveries per day)
• Tail Lift work - delivering 320+kg cages on ambient, chill and frozen
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 6 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
