Job summary

Ignition Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for opportunities across the North West. Expect trunking between depots, store deliveries, and RDC work with modern fleets and regular starts. Work with flexible shifts including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 12 months or more of commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres.
• Store deliveries or RDC work as required by the contract.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, on time and in compliance with regulations.
• Complete paperwork and electronic records accurately.

Pay Rate: £24.94 to £37.08 p/h

Bonus Payments: £150 sign up bonus

Shifts: Full time | Part time | Weekday | Weekend only - various shifts to suit

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Store deliveries or RDC work (depending on the contract)
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
