Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for multi-drop deliveries in Biggleswade. This role includes tail lift work with cages weighing 320+ kg across ambient, chill, and frozen environments, with immediate starts available and ongoing support.

You must have a UK Class 1 licence and at least 6 months of experience, a valid digital tachograph card, and a professional, safety-conscious attitude. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location: Biggleswade

Shifts: Variety of shifts available - one weekend day required

Experience: 6 months experience driving Class 1 is essential

Requirement: You will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol Test before your Driving Assessment

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Tail Lift work - delivering 320+kg cages on ambient, chill and frozen
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 6 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
