Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work on a trunking role in Norwich with curtain-sider deliveries.

Pay rate ranges from £16.60 to £33.12 per hour with weekly pay every Friday, overtime, and flexible shifts. 2 years' Class 1 experience, a valid UK licence and tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence required.
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Professional attitude with safety and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres.
• Pulling curtains for side tip deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time and in full.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and RT rules.

The Role

As a professional HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Driver required to pull the curtains for side tip deliveries
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
