Job summary

Machine Mart in Hampstead is seeking a proactive Store Manager to lead a small team and drive exceptional customer service. You will oversee day-to-day store operations, ensure achievement of sales targets, and foster a culture of honesty and product knowledge.

This role offers staff discounts, a monthly commission for the first six months, and a company pension. As a hands-on leader, you will motivate a team of 4–6 staff, manage up to 45 hours per week, and develop your team through coaching

Qualifications

• Proven experience of leading a small team
• Managerial experience in retail or field sales, ideally hard goods
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs
• Proven experience in motivating your team
• Practical knowledge of our product range
• Confident, enthusiastic and driven team player
• Committed to learning and developing yourself and your team
• Accuracy, numeracy and basic computer literacy
• Desire to succeed individually and as leader

Responsibilities

• - You\u2019ll be responsible for the day to day management of the store.


• - You will be working up to 45 hours per week - all extra time worked is paid or can be taken as time off in lieu


• - You\u2019ll be leading from the front, managing a small team of between 4 - 6 members of staff


• - You\u2019ll be committed to motivating your team to deliver a great customer experience as well as achieving challenging sales targets


• - You\u2019ll be committed to offering honest advice and building a rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they're bewildered by choice

What you\u2019ll need - skills and experience:

• - Proven experience of leading a small team


• - Managerial experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment


• - Proven experience in achieving sales targets and KPIs


• - Proven experience in motivating your team


• - You\u2019ll have practical experience / knowledge of some or all of our product range


• - You\u2019ll be a confident, enthusiastic and driven team player


• - You\u2019ll be committed to learning and developing yourself and your team


• - Your personal skills will include accuracy and numeracy as well as basic computer literacy


• - You\u2019ll possess the desire to succeed both individually and as leader of the team
