Job summary

Machine Mart are seeking a store supervisor to work alongside the Store Manager in our Wolverhampton branch. You’ll be a hands-on leader, guiding a small team to deliver excellent customer service and hit sales targets.

You'll co-lead 4–6 staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation and a positive shopping experience for customers. Hours are up to 45 per week, with time off in lieu for extra hours. Employee benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail customer service orientated or sales environment.
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of our product range and sell accordingly.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Confident, enthusiastic team player with strong numeracy and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Share joint responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store with the Store Manager.
• Lead by example and co-manage a small team of 4–6 staff.
• Motivate the team to deliver great customer experiences and achieve challenging sales targets.
• Build rapport with customers, guide them through choices, and ensure satisfaction.

• Working with the Store Manager, you’ll share joint responsibility for the day to day running of the store
• You will be working up to 45 hours per week
• all extra time worked is paid or can be taken as time off in lieu
• You’ll be leading by example, co-managing a small team of between 4 - 6 members of staff
• You’ll be committed to motivating your team to deliver a great customer experience as well as achieving challenging sales targets
• With a commitment to offering honest advice, you will build rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they're bewildered by choice What you’ll need

• Proven experience in a retail customer service orientated or sales environment
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment
• You’ll have practical experience / knowledge of some or all of our product range
• Proven ability to sell some or all of our product range
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to all of our customers
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets
• You'll be a confident, enthusiastic team player
• Your personal skills should include accuracy and numeracy as well as basic computer literacy
• You’ll possess a high degree of self motivation and a can-do attitude
