Job summary

ASI Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a well-established family-run business in SW London (SW18). You will be the vital link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every vehicle receives the right attention and every customer enjoys a first-class service.

You’ll welcome customers, book vehicles, discuss servicing and repairs, prepare accurate estimates and liaise with Technicians to communicate vehicle requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in automotive or motor trade.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs.

Are you an experienced Service Advisor looking for your next opportunity with a well-established, family-run automotive business?

We’re working on behalf of our client, a successful and long-standing business based in the SW18 area, who are looking to appoint an experienced Automotive Service Advisor following an internal promotion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, long-standing team where customer service, technical knowledge and a genuine passion for the motor trade are valued.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every vehicle receives the right attention, and every customer receives an excellent level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers and providing a professional, friendly point of contact.
• Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer requirements.
• Discussing servicing, repairs and additional work with customers.
• Liaising closely with technicians to understand and communicate vehicle requirements.
• Preparing accurate estimates and keeping customers updated throughout the repair process.
• Authorising work and ensuring jobs are progressed efficiently.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
• Handling queries and resolving any issues professionally.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop.

About You

We’re looking for someone who understands the automotive industry and can confidently communicate with both customers and technicians.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous experience working as a Service Advisor within the motor trade.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs effectively.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• A professional and personable approach.
• Technical knowledge of vehicles would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience within an independent garage environment would be particularly beneficial.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 7:45am – 5:45pm

1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:30am – 1:00pm

Saturday hours are paid as overtime or can be taken back as lieu time.

Location & Requirements

A full UK driving licence is required, with a maximum of 6 points in accordance with company policy.

There is limited on-site parking available.
