Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Tyre Technician for a growing automotive service centre in Ashbourne. This full-time, permanent role offers a strong salary with bonus potential and excellent training opportunities.

Must have a valid MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence. Responsibilities include tyre replacements, balancing, puncture repairs, wheel removal/refitting, and ensuring vehicles are clean after service. A range of staff benefits and discounts are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of tyre fitting experience or a formal automotive apprenticeship.
• An automotive field qualification is highly desirable.
• Must have a valid MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out safe and accurate tyre replacements, balancing, and puncture repairs on consumer cars and vans.
• Removing and refitting wheels, valves, and tracking components using workshop tools.
• Identifying additional vehicle safety defects or tyre wear issues and notifying management and customers.
• Ensuring vehicles are clean of workshop dirt, oil, or marks after tyre service tasks.
• Maintaining strict operational documentation on job cards per company policy.

Tyre Technician role for a growing automotive service centre, suited to an experienced professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, safety and excellent customer service. Pay / salary: Up to £31,000 basic per annum plus bonus, OTE £34,600

Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Shift and schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am–4:00pm
