Job summary

Octane Recruitment is assisting a growing automotive service centre in Banbury to recruit an MOT Technician for a full-time, permanent role. A valid MOT Licence and full UK driving licence are essential.

The role offers a strong salary package (up to £38,000 basic) with bonus potential and overtime, plus excellent training and career development. Shifts run Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–5:30 pm with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00 am–4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 automotive qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• At least a few years working as a skilled mechanic on relevant vehicle repairs.
• A valid DVSA MOT Licence / Level 2 Award in MOT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA requirements, company guidelines and centre procedures.
• Complete mechanical repairs, servicing and fast-fit work including tyres, brakes, exhausts and suspension components.
• Use wheel alignment equipment, interpret results and make relevant adjustments where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard while maintaining a clean and professional work area.
