Job summary

Our client in Hartlepool, a fast-growing UK automotive retailer, is seeking a Tyre Technician to carry out tyre fitting, repairs and basic fast-fit work including brakes and exhausts. This role offers long-term career prospects with extensive in-house training.

You will work Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 with Saturdays on a rota; £28,750 basic, plus around £3,600 bonus, and a benefits package including 32 days holiday, pension and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months.
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician.
• Passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs.
• Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements.
• Carrying out basic servicing work.
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards.
• Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from any dirt, oil or marks resulting from the work carried out.
• Working with the rest of the workshop team to achieve targets.
• Working safely and in line with company health and safety procedures.

Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Hartlepool.

As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

Pay / salary:£28,750basic depending on experience and qualifications

OTE:Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus

Shift and schedule:Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota.

Tyre Technician Responsibilities:

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs

To be a Tyre Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months- Essential
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician
• A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
