We are recruiting a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join the team located in Skegness. The job purpose is to carry out reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, undertake small installation works and respond to site engineering emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure routine maintenance of all electrical and mechanical systems to exceed expectations and agreed service‑level agreements (SLAs).
- Carry out reactive repairs on all systems as required and engage relevant sub‑contractors.
- Update weekly equipment reports with any changes in equipment status.
- Coordinate with sub‑contractors for repairs/quotations, monitor their performance, ensuring works are undertaken correctly and work areas are left satisfactory.
- Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks via PDA in line with client policies and procedures in a timely manner.
- Present a professional image of CBRE to clients and visitors and promote excellence in customer service.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client representative and client personnel.
- Provide a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with company and client site policies, procedures and arrangements.
- Accurately maintain site logs and associated paperwork.
- Participate in the call‑out rota if applicable.
- Understand and maintain all systems on site.
- Work with other trade engineers to resolve electrical issues on all systems within SLA agreements.
- Maintain professional and technical skills through commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- A good basic education, with proficient written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.
- Recognised Electrical Qualification and C&G 18th Edition in Electrical Installations.
- Knowledge of C&G Test and Inspection, various building electrical systems and planned preventive maintenance regimes.
- Current and relative knowledge of BS in relation to electrical systems on site, including emergency lighting, fire alarm, power and BMS.
- Experience working with business‑critical equipment and within a customer‑focused role.
- Previous experience within a health and safety‑led role.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions and maintain good time‑keeping.
- Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work without supervision.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to work within a call‑out rota.
