Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a committed professional to lead the reablement team based at Trafford House, overseeing service delivery and coaching staff to improve outcomes for residents. The role requires effective capacity planning, strong IT/data usage for reporting, and adherence to safeguarding and health and safety standards.

You will work a 35-hour week in a permanent, full-time role, with a 3-week rota and shifts across early and late blocks.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating referrals within fast-paced health or social care.
• Demonstrated leadership and support of staff, including rota management and resource allocation.
• Ability to manage service capacity, prioritise demand and make informed operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of reablement staff, coaching and observing practice and evaluating performance.
• Oversee an effective rota system to schedule visits and ensure timely responses to reablement requests.
• Support capacity management and provide real-time information on current capacity.
• Ensure health and safety issues are identified and mitigated; disseminate new initiatives and address skills gaps.
