Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking two Support Managers to lead a team delivering high-quality home support services to adults with short-term reablement needs in Sheffield. This 37-hour per week fixed-term role requires strong leadership and a person-centred approach to help people stay independent at home.

You will oversee plans for individuals with complex needs, ensure regulatory compliance (CQC) and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with partner teams across the city.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising staff in a social care setting.
• Experience supporting adults with complex needs.
• Knowledge of social care frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC).
• Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Support Workers to deliver safe, responsive and high-quality care.
• Oversee support plans tailored to individuals, including those with complex or changing needs.
• Ensure services meet and exceed regulatory standards and best practice.
• Manage resources to support efficient service delivery.
• Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support service development and contribute to strategic planning.
• Provide cover for other Support Managers and attend key meetings when required.
