Job summary

Trafford Council is seeking an Advanced Senior Support Worker to lead high-quality reablement work, including assessments, medication handling, and staff supervision. You will drive referrals, reviews and audits to improve outcomes for Trafford residents.

The role blends hands-on practice with leadership responsibilities, offering SMART working options and occasional out-of-hours and weekend cover. A DBS check and UK residency are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a reablement, health or social care setting with responsibility for supervising staff.
• Evidence of strong assessment skills including medication management and moving and handling.
• Experience of managing referrals, conducting reviews and promoting positive outcomes.
• Understanding of quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement within a CQC-regulated environment.
