Job summary

Greater Anglia is seeking a Ticket Office Clerk (Area Relief) to cover stations between Shelford and Elsenham, including Audley End. The role offers a permanent full-time contract and a starting salary of £31,996 per year.

You will support customers with ticketing machines and guide users of new ticketing technology such as smart cards and mobile apps. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work an average of 35 hours per week.
• Shift-based role with early starts, late finishes, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, sell tickets, and address inquiries with a customer-service mindset.
• Assist customers with station ticket machines and guide on new ticketing technologies (smart cards, mobile apps).
• Ensure safety, security and cash regulations while operating ticket machines.
• Use Fujitsu Star and TVMs in daily operations.
• Conduct security checks as part of SSP with varying frequency.
