Job summary

Greater Anglia is seeking a Ticket Office Clerk based at Norwich Station. You will support customers by using ticket machines and guiding them with new ticketing technologies including smart cards and mobile apps. Full training and uniform are provided.

Roles may be static or relief, with shift patterns announced in advance and a 35-hour week over four days, including weekends. Applicants must be over 18, able to travel to early/late shifts, and pass Right to Work and DBS checks where

Qualifications

• Experience in frontline customer service is beneficial.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Comfort with using new ticketing technology and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, sell tickets, and answer inquiries with a service mindset.
• Assist customers with ticket machines and guide use of smart cards and mobile apps.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and cash handling policies while operating machines.
• Utilise Fujitsu Star and TVMs for ticket sales and transactions.
• Carry out station security checks as part of SSP plan, and monitor for left items and locked doors.
