Job summary

Greater Anglia at Ipswich Station is preparing for future Platform Host (Train Dispatcher) opportunities. Successful applicants will be placed in our Talent Bank for up to six months and may be offered a role when suitable vacancies arise.

Positions may be Static or Relief, full-time or part-time, with shifts including early starts, weekends and bank holidays. Training includes a 5-day Dispatch course at Stratford Academy and a safety-critical medical assessment.

Qualifications

• You will work an average of 35 hours per week.
• Shift-based role with early starts, late finishes, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deliver top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide support to mobility/ visually impaired customers and assist boarding/alighting from trains.
• Deploy station ramps, provide luggage assistance, and support passengers with wheelchairs.
• Collaborate with Drivers and Conductors to ensure smooth communication and service.
• Comply with safety regulations and report faults and hazards; participate in dispatch activities.
• Collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure operational efficiency during disruptions.
