Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland, in partnership with Ferrovial, is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to oversee integration across track systems and design partners on the HS2 Track infrastructure program. The role involves coordinating interfaces, leading spatial coordination, and driving safety and design assurance with alliance members.

This position can be based in the London or Birmingham offices, with responsibilities across governance, design coordination, and stakeholder engagement to

Qualifications

• Experience in rail systems design, integration and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led, design & build or alliance delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of design management processes in large rail projects.
• Experience managing external design organisations and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Track systems, contractors, design partners and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination and design management across partners and third parties.
• Chair design coordination meetings and ensure progress aligns with client requirements.
• Coordinate safety and system safety activities across disciplines and the project lifecycle.
