Job summary

First Bus in the Surrey area is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator to supervise and coordinate rail replacement bus, events and coach services. You’ll ensure safety of passengers, colleagues and the public, and provide information with excellent customer service while maintaining data via the coordination portal.

The role is on an annualised hours contract (minimum 10 hours per year) with weekend shifts and flexible hours, requiring resilience, teamwork and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport industry is desirable.
• Committed to delivering consistently excellent customer service.
• Confident engaging drivers on PSVAR/PSVAIR regulations.
• Flexible to weekend shifts and various hours.
• Calm, patient, and reliable under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate rail replacement bus and coach services.
• Ensure safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself.
• Provide assistance and information to passengers with excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards in data collection via the coordination portal.
• Assist in maintaining high vehicle standards and regulatory auditing.
