Job summary

First Bus in the Hampshire area is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator (operational, field-based) to supervise and coordinate rail replacement bus, events and coach services, ensuring safety and timely operation while assisting passengers with information and directions.

The role emphasizes high levels of customer service, effective communication with drivers, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport industry desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to providing consistently excellent customer service.
• Confident engaging drivers on regulations and adherence to PSVAR/PSVAIR.
• Great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable.
• Patient, reliable and calm when working under pressure.
• Confident working as a team and independently and using your own initiative.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services.
• Ensure safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself.
• Provide assistance and information to passengers with excellent customer service.
• Maintain high data quality via coordination portal and audits of vehicle standards and regulations.
• Work weekends and flexible hours on an annualised 10hrs minimum contract.
