Job summary

First Travel Solutions is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator to supervise and coordinate rail replacement bus, events and coach services, ensuring safety and timely operation while providing helpful passenger information. The role is field-based in the Somerset area with flexible weekend hours on an annualised contract.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, be a confident communicator, and be comfortable engaging drivers on regulations (PSVAR/PSVAIR).

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport industry is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to providing consistently excellent customer service.
• Confident in engaging drivers on regulations (PSVAR/PSVAIR).
• Great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable.
• Flexible to work a variety of shift times including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate rail replacement bus, events and coach services to ensure safety and timeliness.
• Provide information to passengers and maintain high service standards.
• Maintain data collection via the coordination portal and uphold vehicle standards.
• Assist with regulatory auditing and reporting tasks.
• Work weekends and flexible hours on an annualised hours contract.
