Job summary

First Bus in Surrey is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator to supervise the safe and timely operation of rail replacement buses and coach services. You will act as the face of First Travel Solutions, ensuring passenger safety and customer satisfaction while supporting data collection and regulatory auditing.

The role requires flexibility for weekend shifts on an annualised hours contract (minimum 10 hours per year) with early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport industry is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to providing a consistently excellent standard of customer service.
• Confident in engaging drivers on regulations and adherence to PSVAR/PSVAIR.
• Great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable.
• Patient, reliable and calm when working under pressure.
• Confident working as a team and independently and using initiative.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself.
• Provide assistance and information to passengers and demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards in data collection via the coordination portal and help with vehicle standards and regulations auditing.
