Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer (NHS AfC Band 2) to join the Radiology Contact Centre in Sheffield. You will manage referrals, book patients in line with clinical recommendations, and provide excellent patient and colleague service.

The role involves handling sensitive data, using IT systems, and working with a team across Radiology to ensure a high standard of administrative support and patient care.

Qualifications

• GCSE at Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
• NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service / IT
• Experience of working within an office environment
• Experience of working in a public facing role.
• Relevant experience within the NHS

Responsibilities

• Deliver the administration of patient booking with growing demand and changes in how people want to manage their own healthcare.
• Develop processes and better facilities to support you to meet these needs and ensure Radiology is a brilliant place to work.
• Provide a high quality patient experience and maintain excellent customer service in all interactions with patients and Trust colleagues.
• Ensure accurate recording of all patient interactions and maintain robust audit trails across IT systems.
• Work with the Radiology Contact Centre team to support timely appointments and efficient service delivery.
