Job summary

The Radiology Contact Centre within the Medical Imaging and Medical Physics Department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Clerical Officer. You will manage referrals, book patients, record interactions, and ensure high-quality administrative support to deliver excellent patient care.

You will need outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills, confidence in professional telephone communication, and aptitude for using a range of IT systems to maintain

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, professional communicator by telephone.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail in admin processes.
• Ability to use a variety of IT systems to manage referrals and bookings.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals received by STHFT and book patients in line with clinical recommendations.
• Record all patient interactions accurately to maintain robust audit trails.
• Process cancellations and rebookings and ensure special appointment requirements are met.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and Trust colleagues by telephone.
