Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer for Radiology to support the booking centre and ensure accurate patient appointment management. The role involves liaising with Radiologists, Radiographers, and Nurses to optimise the patient journey.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality customer service, maintain records in radiology IT systems, and may cover other Radiology admin tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• General education is required.
• Basic knowledge of computerised systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of the CRIS system is advantageous.
• Experience in working with the general public is important.
• Strong telephone manner is expected.
• Previous NHS experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service in line with NHS standards and Trust policies.
• Work within a multidisciplinary Radiology team to support booking processes.
• Manage patient appointments, bookings, and cancellations.
• Use radiology IT systems to maintain accurate patient records.
• Support the Radiology Admin team and cover where required.
