Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Apprenticeship Coach for the Radio Network Technician programme to coach, mentor and assess apprentices across the UK. You will guide learners from initial assessment through gateway to completion, delivering feedback and building learner confidence in a highly specialised field.

The role is predominantly home-based with remote delivery across the UK, plus regular engagement with the Bovington training centre. Travel to Bovington will be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Strong radio communications knowledge or experience in military/defence environments.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring and feedback skills.
• Ability to work independently from home and meet targets.
• Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes or training.
• Willingness to develop coaching and assessment practices if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial assessments and create personalised learning journeys aligned to apprenticeship standards.
• Coach apprentices to develop required knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support learner progress.
• Manage a caseload with regular reviews and progression tracking.
• Conduct workplace observations and assessments both virtually and in person.
• Maintain learner records using learning systems and e-portfolios.
• Build relationships with apprentices, managers and stakeholders to support outcomes.
